Welcome
to Ana D. Gallo, Architecture
Where
our chief interest is space.
We do not concern ourselves so much whether we do commercial projects, schools,
offices, or residences; we are interested in ANYTHING that has the opportunity
for creativity.
On
glimpse, our portfolio proves how we consistently strive to reach newer
and more innovative ways to aesthetically integrate the site, design,
culture, sustainability, and personality of each client.
We
strongly believe that getting into any project will not work without passion,
and we consider that our most successful projects have been the product
of a team effort between architect, client and builder.

Project: Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
A
second home and resort rental, the site gradually slopes north to the
water edge. A quarter of a mile from the water edge extends the Mesoamerican
Barrier Reef, the largest barrier Reef in the Caribbean Sea.The
house, which was conceived as a cluster of connected pods that step with
the natural grade is long, thin and sited to minimize it’s exposure
to the setting sun. The pods were developed to encourage the ever present
coastal breezes to move through the house, cooling the interior, and to
reduce the effect of an overpowering foot print on the site.

Blog: What Makes Someone an International Architect??
According
to Wikipidea,“An Architect is a person trained in the planning,
design and oversight of the construction of buildings, and is licensed
to practice architecture. To practice architecture means to offer or render
services in connection with the design and construction of a building,
or group of buildings and the space within the site surrounding the buildings,
that have as their principal purpose human occupancy or use. Architecture
is both the process and product of planning, designing and constructing
space that reflects functional, social, and aesthetic considerations.
It requires the manipulation and coordination of material, technology,
light, and shadow. Architecture also encompasses the pragmatic aspects
of realizing designed spaces, such as project planning, cost estimating
and construction administration. A wider definition may comprise all design
activity from the macro-level (urban design, landscape architecture) to
the micro-level (construction details and furniture). Architectural works
are often perceived as cultural and political symbols and as works of
art. Historical civilizations are often identified with their surviving
architectural achievements.” Read
